True Carbon MTB Rims/Wheels

The True Carbon MTB  Rims are the first self developed product of Truebc!

when I started the wheelbusiness, I couldn´t find a european made Carbon Rim that´s dedicated towards ridequality, rideperformance and/or long lasting durability. The european products where mostly orientated to light weight!


After a few communications with a few european producers , I couln´t find enough commitement for such a product. So the decition was born to developand produce own  carbon rims.

With the combination of developing and producing, we could design the product with the thoughts of the production process and layup. With this advantage we could get a product with way more compliance, damping and ridequality ahead of the most Products on the market.

You may ask why the shape can be the same for different use cases and also riding areas?

After some testing we found out that for XC/Marathon riding the 32mm with and also the round and wide edges improve the performance of the XC tire also more than we have recognized with trail tires.

The common tiresizes are quite similar ! XC 2,3-2,4"/Trail and Enduro 2,4-2,5"/E-Bike 2,4-2,6"

Combined features of all of the True Carbon MTB Rims:

  • Development , testing and production in Germany
  • Damping behaviour of the material and the layup. On our testmashine we found out, that if we simulate an impact with 23 Joule, we have resulted on our True Carbon Trail Rim 2000N while testing a comon Asian made rim resulted on 3000N.
  • rounded flanges on the rim, without any edges prevent "cuts in the sidewall of the tires"
  • Laminated and not drilled spokeholes. At the laminating process we stick round inserts between the fibers, so you don´t need to cut any fibers and can apply located reinforements for the spokeholes. This makes this area much stronger (not longer cracks in this area) and a perfect surface for the nipple. On the Driveside we recommend around 1300N Spoketension.
